WHO WE ARE
The farm is owned and operated by Alex Cacciari and Mark Nowak. We are in our second year of production at the Tilian Farm Development Center in Ann Arbor Township. We share field space with four other start-up farm businesses, Green Things Farm and Bending Sickle Community Farm, and the all new Honest Eats Farm and Meristem Farm.
Ann Arbor Township owns the land and is leasing it to us cost-free in exchange for infrastructure improvements we are providing to the property. This includes building passive hoophouses, repairing the century-old barn on the property, building a wash/pack facility and a root cellar.
WHAT WE GROW
We are growing a diverse selection of greens year round. Our crops vary with the season and cover a wide variety including arugula, lettuces, kale, chard, endives and escaroles, Asian greens, mustards, as well as some more rare greens like amaranth, purslane, sorrel, New Zealand and Malabar spinach, mache, claytonia, radicchio and more.
We’re also growing annual artichokes, a crop not traditionally grown in our region. Our artichoke season runs from late July through August.
WHERE TO FIND US
You can find us at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market every Wednesday morning and evening and Saturday morning.
Our boxed greens will be available this year at the People’s Food Co-op, Arbor Farms Market, The Produce Station, Babo Market, Ypsi Food Co-op and the Ann Arbor Plum Market
